East African countries are turning to data for solutions

In East Africa, statistical inclusion is becoming the norm. Rwanda, Kenya, Djibouti, Somalia, Ethiopia and Uganda are committed to including forcibly displaced people in national statistics.

In December 2022, an estimated 7.13 million people had left Venezuela – a figure that is expected to reach nearly 8.4 million by 2025. This report examines the characteristics of this population across four of the countries that host some of the largest populations of Venezuelans abroad.
